Your motorcycle mirrors no longer have to be boring and dull. Nor does your bike have to look like everybody else's. Now, there are, literally, hundreds of aftermarket customized motorcycle accessories and mirrors designed to allow you to express your true nature.

If you have a bike which you are able to ride off road, then folding motorbike mirrors are for you. The obvious advantage to owning a pair of these babies is that you are able to fold them inwards to prevent them from breaking off when hitting low-laying branches, etc. CRG's folding mirrors have a special folding mechanism. "The detent folding mechanism is calibrated to retract [fold back] if you hit anything while riding, pushing it back against the stop puts it right where you had it set before." (bevel heaven .com)

LED lights on motorcycle mirrors are all the rage now. Manufacturers are using them as turn signals installed on the mirrors themselves.

ST Machines has put out a motorcycle mirror which they have called "Pig Spotters". These mirrors come with LED lights which may be used as either turn signals or as lights, depending on how your bike is wired. (ST Machine .com) Installation of these motorcycle mirrors is rather simple, as demonstrated in the video, below.

Customized sportbike mirrors now come with numerous different designs to choose from. BikeMaster has put out mirror designs such as the feather and candy tube mirrors, old school flame, the tiger eye, pinched teardrop, and the mother of them all, the Zombie mirrors costing $160.00 - all of which add a very distinctive look to your bike.

A design which refuses to go out of style is the Maltese cross. You will normally find these motorcycle mirrors in chrome plated aluminum or chrome billet. Aeromach USA has put out the black anodized version which is becoming very popular due to their unique look. Certain companies selling aftermarket motorcycle mirrors are now offering clients the ability to mix and match the mirrors with the stems in order to provide a very unique and personalized look.

Another current rage, when it comes to motorbike mirrors, is the airbrushed art which adorn them. Depending on your tastes and inclinations ST Machine offers you their Pig Spotters with airbrush designs such as a white shark (in attack mode), checkered flag and a pair of skulls. Italy has come out with several models of motorcycles and scooters which are world renowned such as the Ducati motorcycles and the Vespa and the Lambretta scooters, to just name a few.

The Italian company FAR SpA's aftermarket sportbike mirrors have a distinctive elegance that clearly denotes that they are designed in Europe, with models such as the Ducati Monster Viper Collection.

Far SpA, in 2010, came out with a new stem design called "La Donna", which is a limited edition. These mirrors are manufactured with high quality heavy chrome plating and run for $225 US Dollars. The design is of a naked woman in a very suggestive pose.
